Christmas vs. Xmas

Yes! Christmas has arrived once again. Christmas time is one of my favorite times of the year because everyone is so happy and wishing you a "Merry Christmas." But have you noticed that people will say "Merry Xmas"? There is one reason for this. They want to get rid of the real purpose of Christmas which is celebrating our saviors birth. Thats why is Xmas, because the X is crossing out the word Christ in Christmas. So when ever someone says to you "Merry Xmas", tell them this "Its called Christmas."

"Obedience without hesitation"

What does "Obedience without hesitation" mean? Well... we know what obedience is, that means to do what people are in charge of us tell us to do. But what about"... without hesitation"? Does that mean we do it right away? Well thats half of it. It also means that we are to do it as soon as we are told to and to do it without a grumpy attitude because we have to do it. So remember that the next time you are given a cumbersome task to do.

Is the trip worth it?

Some people out in the world there say that they don't want to accept Jesus as their savior, because they don't want to change their lives. They just want to have their life filled with fun and excitement and full of sin. But as Christians, we know that our life here on the earth will not last forever and our home in heaven will. For if we don't accept Christ as our savior, we will have an eternal spot in hell. So ask yourself, are you going to live your life for Christ and save yourself from eternal turmoil, or are you going to live your life on earth the way you want to.

Acting according to God's Word

Ok, the first step in acting according to God's Word is , you go to know His word. How do you do that? Well, same way as you learn anything else, you go to read it, memeorize it, and make it part of your life style. Now I will admit that makeing God's Word part of your daily life is hard, but if we truly love the Lord, then we will do our best to do so. But when we do apply His Word to our life, are we doing it out of love or out of selfishness? We need to be making God part of our life not because we want to brag about it or be able to just say "Oh yeah I read God's Word" we need to do it because we love God and want to follow His comandments.

Loving God with all your heart

What are somethings you love? Your parents, your brothers and sisters, or maybe even worldly possessions? But do you really love the Lord, or is it just a show you put on so people think you are a "good" Christian? Maybe you don't even love the Lord but you know that you are supposed to, so you tell people that.
Well loving God is not a physical love, like everything that we love on earth is, but a spiritual love. So, are you just putting on an act, or do you really love God?

Being a witness to God

What does it mean to be a witness? Does it mean to go around telling people about God? Thats one part of being a witness. It also means that in our normal lives, people should be able to see God in us. We can do this by...

• Helping others
• Putting others before us
• Being selfless

To be able to be true witnesses to God, we need to love Him with all of our heart. We need to dedicate our lives for the Lord. Deuteronomy 6:5 Loving God all of the time may be hard, but to be true witnesses to God we need to.
